Playing in Puddles

Words to Remember

I was in our bedroom and heard the following conversation take place in the living room:
Bryson: Daddy, look how many skateboards I bought! It's an upside down six! What number is that? Twelve?
Jason: No, that is a nine.
Bryson: Oh!
I walked into the living room and the conversation continued:
Me: Bryson, you know what number an upside down six is! Silly boy! Bryson: {sighed loudly and then paused for a moment} Oh yeah! Sometimes I forget that I know how to count. {gave me the cutest little sideways grin. melt. my. heart!}

On the way to school this morning:
Bryson: Mom, I think Daddy forgot his iPad at home today-- so I can play with it after school!
Me: Why do you think he forgot it?
Bryson: Because I hid it last night before I went to bed! {we are in TROUBLE!!!}

Bryson: Where is the baby going to sleep?
Me: In your  bed!
Bryson: No! {shaking his head with a huge smile}
Jason: How about-- in the bathroom!?
Bryson: No!
Me: Where do you think the baby should sleep?
Bryson: We should put the baby's bed right next to my bed!
{LOVE that he is so excited about this baby. sweetest thing ever!!!}

Saying our prayers before bed the other night:
Me: And Lord, we ask that you would help this baby in Mommy's tummy to grow to be big, and healthy, and strong...
Bryson: You forgot one Mommy!!!
Me: Ok, go ahead...
Bryson: And cute! Amen.
