Me: "Can you believe she is going to have a baby?"
Bryson: "Yes! But, we had to pray and pray."
Me: "For what?"
Bryson: "We had to pray and pray and THEN we got OUR baby!!"
How right he is...
Bryson is into saying all of these different little phrases right now. He will say "Sure will!" or "You betcha!" when I ask him to do something. Today I told him to take a bite of his grilled cheese sandwich and he said "I'm going to, and it's going to be good as new! Ugh... I mean... good!" So funny!
Sitting in the drive-thru line at Chick-fil-A Bryson randomly says from the back seat:
"Mom, did somebody nail Jesus to a cross?"
Me: "Yes they did."
Bryson: "Did it hurt him?"
Me: "Yes, it hurt him very badly. But he did it so that we could be with him forever in Heaven one day."
Bryson: "Well, how do you nail a person? I didn't know you could actually nail a person!!"
Lots of work to do here... on my end and his! But SO love his sweet heart and the way he is responding to all he is learning.
We ran into some old friends from my hometown at lunch today. Bryson must have heard Jason tell the man that Gage was six weeks old. Later this afternoon, Bryson said:
"I know when Gage was born."
Me: "Really? When?"
Bryson: "Six weeks ago!"
It is so crazy to realize how much he picks up on. Going to have to watch what I say a little more closely... :)
We let Jason sleep in yesterday morning (having to take shifts during the night- wondering if we will ever sleep again!!). Bryson could not wait until it was time to wake him up. We set the timer on the microwave, and when it finally went off, Bryson ran into the room to wake up his Daddy. Gage and I followed behind, and stood in the doorway listening to their sweet conversation. Bryson said "Daddy! You slept for about six million hours! You must be FULL of energy now. You're going to win every race you run today!"
