Happy Birthday!!!

Bryson woke up Saturday morning FULL of energy! He must have sensed the craziness in the air as we were trying to get ready for his party that afternoon. The poor baby had been diagnosed with an ear infection the day before. :( Luckily this one wasn't quite as bad as the ones in the past- but still no fun at all. He had been fussy, not wanting to eat, and running a low grade fever for over a week. I was sure they would say it was just a virus and that they couldn't do anything- but took him in anyways. The doctor looked in the right ear and said right away that it looked awful. I felt horrible for not taking him in sooner. This kid definitely keeps me on my toes. :) Anyways, here are a few pictures from his birthday day.

Trying to make us all laugh (and succeeding!)...
Crazy Boy!
Not sure where he learned this...
Bryson's gift from us!
He kept wanting to slide head first. He has NO fear!

Bryson and PawPaw
Bryson seemed to really enjoy all of the company and commotion on his birthday. We are blessed beyond blessed to have such a sweet little boy in our lives and are honored to have the opportunity to be his parents.
We love you Bryson! We thank God every day for the joy and love that you bring to this family. Happy Birthday baby!

Happy Birthday Granny!

Today is my sweet mother-in-law's birthday! She is camping on the Frio river, so we went ahead and gave her her gift when she came for Bryson's birthday party last weekend. We gave her a picture frame that has a calendar attached to it. I saw the idea in a magazine and it was super easy to make. I used a picture of her and all of her children/grandchildren from our recent beach trip. It turned out really cute!

We love you Granny and hope you have an amazing birthday!

Uncle Zach = Biggest Duke Fan (Ever)

Just wanted to post this sweet picture I got of Bryson and his Uncle Zach. Bryson is wearing the outfit that Uncle Zach got for him when he was born. And of course Uncle Zach has his Duke basketball shirt on (as always).

The Big O-N-E !!!

Our sweet little boy turned O-N-E yesterday! We cannot believe it!
Here are a few pictures that my friend Melissa took to celebrate the occasion. I love how they turned out, and especially love how they captured this milestone in Bryson's life perfectly.
We are blessed beyond words and can't imagine our lives without this precious little boy.

We celebrated with a luau birthday bash! Pictures of that coming soon...

Party Planning

This is going to be a CRAZY week! Bryson's first birthday party is on Saturday (I can't believe he is already turning 1!) and I have got SO MUCH to do. First thing up-- making palm trees to go along with our luau theme.
I started with this:
And have made several of these:
They're turning out to be really cute! Next item up--- sewing his birthday banner. (Am I crazy?!?!?)

Happy 4th of July!

We had a great holiday! We spent most of the day relaxing, chasing Bryson around, and working in the yard. Then we went over to the MacDonald's and enjoyed a delicious dinner (finished off with homemade peach cobbler!). We are so thankful for the men and women who have sacrificed and are currently sacrificing so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have.
Another bib from Grandma! I jokingly told her I'm going to make her a calendar with pictures of Bryson in all of the "first holiday" bibs she has gotten him. She hasn't missed one yet! Too bad this is his last "first holiday"--- we will have a one-year old on Saturday!
Patriotic PJs from Grandma!

Happy 4th of July!!!
