Deep Breath...

or dun dun DUNNNNNN! I couldn't decide what to title this post. Okay- so nothing terrible has happened. But we did want to let everyone know that last month we got a letter from the appeals department of the IRS saying that they had found us guilty for 25% of the original debt they said we owed, but that since it had been paid (by a man we had to SUE to get him to pay it) we now owe NOTHING. That is right- NOTHING! The letter said that they were sending their decision to another department of the IRS to let them know the verdict, and that we should have a $0.00 balance within 30 days (does anyone else think it is ridiculous that it takes 30 days for things to post within the IRS??). Anyways, I have been holding my breath since that time, and practically demanding every day that Jason calls and checks our balance (and of course I think he should yell at anyone that will listen when it isn't to zero yet :). Today we got a notice that we have a certified letter from the IRS waiting at the post office. So, Jason will go in the morning and pick it up. We are praying, hoping, and crossing all of our fingers and all of our toes that this letter will say we are done with this nightmare we have been fighting for close to three years now.
