Ooh la la!

Friday morning I headed to Abilene to give my sister a lingerie shower. I was really looking forward to getting to spend time with Amy and my mom, and to having a total girls weekend. Jason kept Bryson (a BIG thank-you to my amazing husband!), so I was totally free of baby worries (well- as much as I could be!). Friday afternoon when I got there my Mom and I headed to the home where we were going to have the shower to decorate. It turned out really cute!
Here is a picture of the table pre-shower. We put different kinds of sodas and bottled water in the tub on the left (who really likes punch anyways!?!?). I had the main cake made to match the invitations, and my mom made a gluten-free cake in the shape of a wedding cake for my sister.
I made a line that we used to hang Amy's gifts on as she opened them. So much fun!!!

Party favors for the guests...
Cute cake to match the invites...
Tacky cake topper. We HAD to do something at least a little bit risque- she's not even having a bachelorette party!
About twenty girls met us at a restaurant for dinner. I surprised Amy with a gift that turned out to be a tiara and a bride-to-be sash. She wasn't thrilled- but again- no bachelorette party= this is her bachelorette party! Deep down I know she loved it... :)
One end of the table...

Back at the house for the actual lingerie part of the evening- this is how Amy spent most of the night:

I got Amy a lingerie bag with her new name on it!

My two favorite girls :)
Amy and her best friend Katie

Saturday we slept in and then went to see the Hardin-Simmons campus. The weather was perfect!
After lunch and some shopping I made the 4 1/2 hour drive back to College Station. I had such a good time and am so thankful for the girl time with my mom and sister.

On another note:
I was so excited to get home and see my boys. Bryson took his first step by himself on Thursday, and by the time I got home he was taking 6-7 steps at a time! My baby is growing up. We officially have a walker! (at least I think that counts :)

  1. So glad the party turned out good! You and your Mom did an amazing job...you're just so crafty! :)

And I can't believe Bryson is walking!!! Yay for the big boy. Time is just too short and fast.

    Love & miss you guys!!!!!
