On June 11th we celebrated Ambree and Kent's upcoming marriage by throwing them a couples shower. My mom was so sweet to watch Bryson at our house for the weekend so that Jason and I could have a weekend in Dallas by ourselves.
Friday night we made the trip and stayed with Amy and Zach at their apartment. We stayed up WAY too late--- I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time {it was just what I needed!}. Saturday morning Amy and I ran to Sam's and bought flowers so that I could make flower arrangements, then we met Matt and Shannon at Chili's for lunch. We missed Bryson, but it was definitely nice to relax and enjoy every one's company without worrying about chasing a toddler around.
After lunch Jason and I checked into our hotel for the evening. We stayed at the Westin in the Galleria. It was beautiful {and did I mention that it was in the Galleria?}. I shopped a little bit that afternoon and then we headed to the shower.

I thought this little tree was so cute. One of the other bridesmaids came up with it. Everyone wrote their words of advice or well wishes on the little paper ornaments and then hung them on the tree.

We stayed at the shower until 1am- which is some sort of record for us I'm sure! We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to all of the other wedding festivities in the next few months!
