Here is the email update that we sent out on Thursday night. We wholeheartedly believe in the power of prayer and wanted as many people interceding for us as possible.
Dear Friends,
We received some very concerning results from our ultrasound today. The baby has spina bifida. As I type this I can't even believe it. We are in shock and don't even know where to begin with our questions. We have appointments all day tomorrow at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston including an ultrasound, MRI, and a meeting with a neurosurgeon. They have a whole spina bifida team. We are going to the best of the best, but are completely shaken and unsure of what the future holds for our family. Please pray specifically for God's guidance in the decisions that will be facing us and for health for our sweet baby girl. We know that He is the ultimate healer. We prayed and prayed (along with a lot of you) for this baby, and know that ultimately God has his hand in this. Please pray that we will find some comfort in this as we navigate these next few days. We love each of you.
